The unpredictable weather and heat are the main reasons why I recommend scheduling your outdoor family session end of October-mid April. Outside of this window, we schedule a second, rainy day backup day or a morning session instead of a sunset session. I usually wait 3-4 hrs before the session start time to reschedule due to weather as storms in Florida come and go and sometimes sunsets are the most beautiful after a storm. If you need to schedule your family session during the rainy season, I ask you to be flexible and understanding about last minute change of plans due to the weather. 

While I definitely capture some of the natural, in-between moments, I'm known for my posed family photography. I strive to create compositions that don't look forced or awkward and pose everyone in a way that suits their body type. 

Yes and no. While I always do my best to pose everyone in a flattering way from head to do and facial expressions, it's harder the more people are in the shoot. For this reason, I always take multiple images of the same pose, to ensure we have good facial expressions for everyone, then I blend multiple images together seamlessly in photoshop. This is my proven process to ensure everyone looks perfect for that piece of wall art in their home.

Within 2 weeks from your session, we schedule an in person ordering appointment to view and select your favorite images from your session. You only purchase the ones you LOVE. This way you have total control over how many images you buy and what you spend. A variety of the highest quality products, such as wall art, albums, matted prints are available for purchase, along with digital files. 

The session fee is $450 and it includes 

• pre session planning and design consultation over zoom to plan out all the details for your session (location, outfits, posing requests, etc)
• 1 hr or outdoor session time during Golden Hour OR 2 hrs of studio photography time
• Outdoor sessions include travel fees in the Tampa Bay Area
• Studio sessions include (1) complimentary hair and makeup application
• Fine art editing and high end retouching on all purchased images
• The use of my client closet

The best time for family photos is end of October- mid April. The weather usually is much cooler with less chance of rain forcing us to reschedule. The days are shorter too, which is perfect for younger kids

Most kids behave way better during a photo session that parents anticipate. We can take breaks and let them run around for some candid moments between posed setups. I'm a very patient person and don't force them to look into the camera and smile, yet, I always manage to capture great smiles. The most important thing is: don't stress! Kids are very sensitive and they can sense your energy. If you're tense, they will be too and that's not what we want!
